Arun Vijay resumes filming at Mahabalipuram for Vanangaan.

The Tamil film 'Vanangaan' went on floor last years. Directed by Bala, the movie featured Suriya as the lead, but after the duo faced indifferences over creative challenge, the actor decided to walk out from the film. It was then later, reportedly stated that Arun Vijay will be replacing Suriya as the lead in the movie.

According to news reports, actor Arun Vijay is said to have resumed the shooting for 'Vanangaan' and the shooting is currently underway in Mahabalipuram near Chennai. The film was revived soon enough after it was shelved for a few months. The movie cast now includes of Arun Vijay and Roshni Prakash in the lead roles. The current shooting schedule is said to go on for 15 days.

Earlier, the film had Suriya and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. While Suriya had completed shooting for 40% of his parts, Krithi Shetty shot for 15 days. Now, director Bala is producing the film under his home banner and it is likely that the film will make it to the big screens by December 2023. The film's story is said to be the same and technical crew consists of music composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Balasubramaniem and editor Suresh URS.
