The streamer revealed on Saturday that the June 30 OTT release of the Tamil superhero movie "Veeran" will go place. The lead character in the fantasy-action film, which is directed by Ark Saravanan and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, is played by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, one half of the well-known music group Hiphop Tamizha.
This month's movie premiered in theaters earlier.
The protagonist of the tale is Kumara, a young child from the village of Veeranur, who is struck by lightning and falls into a coma.
"Seeking better care for Kumara, his father chooses to send him abroad. But years later, upon his return, Kumara finds that he has obtained superpowers which he must now use to rescue his town from a nefarious corporation and their threatening technology that could endanger innocent lives," the official narrative read.
Saravanan said "Veeran" is a family entertainer that gives Tamil cinema its own superhero from rural Tamil Nadu.
"The movie touches on the thin border between superstition and faith and has aspects of fantasy, action, drama, and comedy, making it a very fascinating and enjoyable viewing for people of all ages." he said in a statement.
Hiphop Tamizha Adhi claimed he always dreamed to be a superhero in a movie, a wish that eventually came true with "Veeran".
"When I read the concept and script, delving further into the character, I was sure that Veeran is the superhero I was always destined to play. I cannot wait for my fans and viewers across the globe to watch and appreciate the picture, when it premieres ," he added.
"Veeran" also has Chella, Munishkanth, Vinay Rai, Athira Raj, Kaali Venkat, and Sassi Selvaraj in significant parts.
